You Make Me Feel Like Im Home Again

♪Whenever I'm alone with you, you make me feel like I am home again…♪

Ok, so I've been a bit busy & unmotivated to write lately. And I'll be fully honest, the boy had a lot to do with it.

Bekah asked about this "new boyfriend" that I mentioned in my first post, so I'll explain more now. Ok, maybe she didn't exactly ask, just commented, but too bad! You're all getting explanation now 😛

Stuart & I met at a mutual friend's birthday in March, and got along really well that night. We exchanged email addresses, and got together a few times & then, "got together" and started going out about the end of March.

However, I went into this with a plan to not get too attached. The reason? Stuart was an Australian exchange student, and we both knew he was leaving at the end of May/beginning of June. well, we did get attached, and I definitely fell for him hard. I don't regret this at all, but he left this past Sunday, so that was definitely hard & I definitely miss him a lot. We'll see what happens from here.

But, since he was soon leaving, and my parents were also out of town (so I didn't feel "prisoned" by them as I sometimes do) my reason for not posting for awhile is basically b/c I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible before he left. It's looking like it'll be a year & a half till I see him again, when he finishes his degree in Australia towards the end of 2008.

Thus, the past few weeks with him were a lot of fun! Hanging out, making dinner together a few times, a few outings to Kickoff for the Sens games, Vicki's birthday at Starlight…those were a few of the minor things. Plus since my parents were gone, we had their tickets (for free!) to a show at Centre in the Square: Electric Thursdays where we saw them do "Symphonic KISS" – basically the music of KISS rewritten for both the symphony & a band to perform together. An awesome show! As well, Stuart lost his place at the end of May, and didn't fly out till June 3rd, so he crashed at my place for a few days at the end.

There were two more "major" things that we did though over the few weeks. One was a trip overnight to Toronto, since he hadn't spent much time there. Highlights included going up the CN Tower (which I hadn't done since I was 4, and just doesn't seem worth the expense :-/), going to the St Lawrence Market (where we had some AWESOME desserts!), Chinatown (where we bought breakfast at a bakery, which was so good!), wandering downtown, meeting up with Geoff & Jeremy at Starbucks for coffee, wandering a bit around the Eaton's Centre, clubbing at Velvet Underground, and walking along the harbour. It was a great couple of days 🙂

The other "major" thing that we did was a day trip to Niagara Falls, b/c really, you can't come to Southern Ontario without going there, especially since it's only an hour & a half from me. We had a lovely day for it, and of course, the Falls are the Falls – I've seen them millions of times, so I don't get quite as excited anymore, although I did get some awesome pics of them with the rainbow coming off them 🙂 But Stuart seemed to think they were awesome, so that's all that's important! We also went on Maid of the Mist, which I haven't been on for a few years, but it was fabulous, and of course, we got some fun pics with the ponchos on 😛 I know Stuart did have the same impression of the rest of NF as I do – it's WAY too touristy! But the Falls make up for it, and walking along the path beside the water. And of course, the Hershey's store 😉 Tee hee hee.

That's pretty well mainly what's been going on though – I shall try to update a bit more from now on. Take care all!
